ZZ & Associates was established as a petroleum engineering firm in Houston, Texas by Dr. Zaher Zaafran in 1985.  ZZ & Associates personnel pride themselves in offering clientele the highest level of ethical expertise in all facets of petroleum engineering, formation evaluation, reservoir description field studies, well log interpretation services, data processing and database, pressure transient analysis, log and map digitizing services, and magnetic media tape conversion (seismic and well log data).

ZZ & Associates’ main challenge is in the area of reservoir description as the company integrates all aspects of data from logs, cores, pressure transient analysis, drilling, production and seismic to calculate important reservoir parameters and locating the different reservoir distribution graphically together with any existing faults or fractures as obtained from the different sources.
